Media Performance Tips

Image Best Practices

Optimal Resolutions:

  • Full-screen: 1920x1080 (HD)
  • Half-screen: 960x1080 or 1920x540
  • Quarter-screen: 960x540

Format Recommendations:

  • JPG: Photos, promotional images (smaller file size)
  • PNG: Graphics with transparency, logos
  • GIF: Simple animations (use sparingly)

Compression:

  • Compress images to 85-90% quality
  • Reduces file size with minimal visual impact
  • Faster loading on displays

Video Best Practices

Optimal Settings:

  • Resolution: 1920x1080 (Full HD)
  • Frame Rate: 30 fps
  • Codec: H.264
  • Bitrate: 5-10 Mbps for HD

Duration:

  • Keep videos under 2 minutes for best performance
  • Longer videos may buffer on slower connections
  • Use video editing software to trim content

Audio:

  • Most retail displays are muted
  • Ensure visual message is clear without audio
  • Add captions/text overlays for important information
